Blah. Fridays stink. First, I have computer lit for 4 freaking hours... FOUR. I wanted to shoot myself in Barb's computer lit class last year...and that was only THREE hours. But now I get 4 hrs of the stuff, and the teacher again doesn't really know whats going on. Seriously people... Can we get some teachers who know what they are teaching? Or... technology companies, STOP COMING OUT WITH NEW CRAP EVERY 2 FLIPPING WEEKS... there we go... that solves lots of problems right there.
Then... in the afternoon I have my favorite class. It's boring, but Chef Hart is a great teacher... We spent about 1-2 hours getting off topic, wasting time, taking too long of breaks, etc. My cell was dead so I can't text anyone during breaks... yes, I only text during breaks thank you very much... I like the class and all, but it really gets on my nerves that students (the fresh-outta-high school ones...) are purposly getting him off topic because of how easy it ends up being.
My biggest annoyance from class was at the beginning of class, when we got our take-home quizes back. He said he wasn't too happy with the scores, given that it was a take-home quiz, and we got to use our books and such, and most people averaged 2-4 wrong on EACH quiz... He said that one person was on top of everything, and that she managed to miss only 1 total on all 4... and he was looking at me and pointed me out to the class. He asked me questions like did I use my book "yes", did I use my notes "yes", did I reread through things "yes"... each question making my face redder and redder... he then asked how long it took me to do the quizes, and I said under an hour for all 4. I got some not-so-nice looks and whispers. I'm already off to a bad start making friends here. Apparently doing what is told makes you a teachers pet. whatever. He told the class that he encourages and strongly recommends study groups. No one thought to ask me, but everyone around me. The girls even looked at me, looked like they would say something, but then turned away. I don't do study groups, but I would have said yes if they asked. I was so glad to leave.
So, I come home... annoyed and shit from my favorite class this quarter... to my 2 roommates filling out forms for them to have guy friends stay the night : I enter the room pissed off becuase of how my day was... and they tell me they need the form signed by me saying its ok. Sigh... to not seem like a bitch or the nazi of the apartment, I signed. :
Anyways, I was planning on seeing one of my friends tonight after they got off work, and I got home from school and took a shower and such. Couldn't text them at all today to see if we were still going to meet up and hang out. I got home and saw them online, so I messaged them... about 30 minutes ago... whatever. I just need a friend right now, and they are being an ass like they all are... and ugh ... So now my roommates get their friends, and I still have nothing. IM SO FLIPPING EXCITED FOR THEM...
So, if my friend doesn't come over (which I doubt he will given it's 6:30 now...), then I'm stuck, alone... if I went out with said friends and their guys, I'd be a flipping 5th wheel... not greatest thing to be... and I honestly dont feel like being social with the under 21 crowd...
Then tomorrow, Shantel is heading home until next week sometime, and Erin is leaving for home again after her class tomorrow. And here I am, stuck here, all alone... I don't have my car, I don't have friends, I dont have the luxury of being able to go home every fucking weekend for 5 days... I am lacking some groceries that would be nice to go and get, but I cant... no car.
I kinda miss Michigan... I really miss my friends back in Michigan...
My loan money still isnt in yet...
Ugh, when something good happens (which hasn't been very much this year), something 100 times worse always happens shortly after.
Sorry... I know this is one big long rant/whiny thing from me... but ehh.. I needed it I think... I still don't feel better, but... in the words of Chef Hart "what-EV-er"
EDIT:
My friend ended up having truck problems and was sorry for not being able to see me tonight. I guess we'll try for monday :
Also, my roomies friends... well one of the friends... was way more than any of them could handle, so I rescued my roommate from possible harm, and now I'm just waiting up for the other to get home... I am such the mama bear : Thanks carolyn

Oops...
Almost forgot I had this thing. Well, either that or I've been way too busy to do anything but what I was busy doing... We'll go with the second.
So, I'm all moved into my apartment in Pittsburgh. Well, once the rest of my stuff from Michigan gets here in September when my Aunt comes back... I knew I should have found room for my baking tote.. lol.
My best friend Gavin and my other good friend Rachael came out with me to help me move... hmm maybe if I didnt have them in there I would have fit my stuff...lol JOKING. I don't know what I would have done without you guys. Aside from helping me move, you guys also helped me keep my sanity.
Had some major issues, like loan money, as of right now, STILL NOT IN YET, which the money situation is stressing me out way too much. Then on the day of move-in and all that school stuff one needs to do before school starts had me freaking out.
First, the apartment... Both me and my roommate head up to our room, and our key cards dont work. They tell us to get them reprogramed, ask if we're sure this is the right room. We get our key cards reprogramed 3 times, and replaced, and it still doesnt work. For the next few days we had 1 master hard key for the 3 of us, and I was the keeper of the key. They finally got it fixed today. : after finally bugging them enough.
The apartment has 24/7 security guards at the door, and you need your key card to get in the buiilding, into the main parts, and into your room. Don't worry... I'm safe.
THEN we had isses with internet. They didn't tell us in the list of stuff we needed that we needed a router if we wanted wireless internet, let alone internet in general. I finally caved and bought one today, and Erin and myself set it up. Now we join the ranks of other wireless nazis in the building.
I have class on Thursday and Fridays only... with friday being my long day and having 2 classes (8-12:20, then 1-5:20). My Sanitation and Safety class is awesome. It's boring material, but Chef Hart is one of the best teachers I've seen in a while (besides Val and Carolyn, of course ). It's already Saturday and I have all my homework done for the week. I'll keep reading my San&Saf book over the week to keep it in my head, and studying my notecards for the class as well. My other class is Comp. Lit... nuff said.
I currently have 2 roommates, Shantel has one room all to herself, and Erin and I share the other room. I think our room is bigger than hers, and we also have our bathroom in our room. It's not as big as the Shannon Hall apartments, but we'll make due. Besides, we're just a block away from school.
Erin and I have quickly become friends, and have gone on a few adventures. She's an awesome roommate :) Adventures that include drive by flower pickings, and paying for someone else pizza and taking it. What, the guy at the pizza place said we could. The guys pizza we stole was named Adam... he was kinda cute. Why didn't we get his number Erin lol. (dont worry, the pizza guy was making him a new one).
One of our tiny annoyances is that every place that sells food and stuff (like Starbucks, McDonalds, etc) except the pizza places, close at 11pm every night : Even fridays and Saturdays : ... Seriously, what are college students supposed to do when they are hungry for something other than pizza at midnight while trying to study or do homework. Or a caffine upper that we need to stay awake just a little longer. Gahhh lol. *mental note... tell aunt to bring down coffee maker and coffee and filters... i need my coffee fix*
Both of them are gone back home for a few days...I hope Erin at least comes back before Wednesday, as I'll be alone all this time until then if she doesnt. And you know me, not wanting to go out and adventure by myself.
Pitt Dad will be coming over for lunch on Monday :) I'm looking forward to that. Maybe I'll see my friends Jason and/or Frank in these few days I'm by myself.
So thats the update. I'll try to keep this thing updated, unless I get busy with school things.

Welcome!
So... some of you know me, and a lot of you don't... so I'll start with a quick intro.
I'm 23, almost 24. I am currently living in the state of Michigan, but I will soon be moving back to Pittsburgh for college, and I am highly nervous. I changed my major back in April from Science Teacher Education to Hotel and Restaurent Management. I am recently single and trying to bounce back from a 3-yr relationship.
I see the whole moving and changing major (and hpefully a new guy) as a much needed fresh start...
My hobbies/interests include theater, fishing, camping, nature, fish, BAKING, teaching, hanging out with friends, going to movies. I love to bake, and have been doing more of it lately (now that I have an oven I can use again).
Purpose of this blog is to destress from the whole moving thing, and for family and friends to keep in touch with me in a different way other than facebook and myspace.
This week I'm pretty busy with Fine Arts Day Camp. Its only the 10pm right now and I'm wiped out... and I still need to get dinner. Lucky for me, camp is just this week. Then I only have... 3 more weeks before moving... AHHHHH
Well, I'm going to go and get my dinner and clear off the bed and crash for the night... oh wait, darnit... I have to figure out the Treasure Hunt with Gavin still tomorrow... oh dear...
Have a great night everyone!
